It seems one of the owners of Tollerton Airport has been behaving very badly in the café. Ripping posters down and abusing the poor staff who work there (and doing so in front of paying guests – as one such paying guest reported to us. This is not the way to win friends and influence people (particularly the latter if one doesn’t care about winning friends).
News that Vistry (who, according to TrustPilot, have a reputation for building homes of dubious quality) have issued a closure notice at the airfield comes as no great surprise. But what is puzzling is why would they close all operations down (and therefore shut down a financially rewarding revenue stream) when they haven’t even applied for permission? Can it be they’ve realised what a major problem this proposed development would be and they’ve decided to sell the land to another poor dupe, and that Vistry feel unloading the land when nobody is on the site would be an easier sell?
I’m sure all the legal traffic flying around (pun) regarding the condition of land up at the airfield would have absolutely nothing to do with such a decision, if such a decision had been made.
