Apologies for being quiet. I fell off one of our cracked and broken pavements and have cracked my elbow. It’s difficult to use a phone, tablet or a laptop when you’re one-handed. I’m still in a sling but I’ve been shown how to talk and have my words typed up by machine. Marvellous.
I hear the Open Mic night in The Air Hostess was a wonderful night and very well attended. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there but my unfortunate injury kept – and continues to keep – me indoors.
The Tollerton Lane closure is, as of today, in full effect. From the reports I’ve been getting so far, it seems to be well managed. We’ll see how it goes as soon as half-term is over!
The local referendum has taken place. Having 70% of the electorate either not turning out or voting against it doesn’t exactly give the plan a mandate as any scholar of modern-day history can testify.
And I have been reading an interesting article on parish councils. I’ll try to put the link here if I can manage to – yes, the parish council link is here.
Please note the North End Book Club will not be meeting until I’m back on my feet and fully ambulatory.
