I did the village New Year’s Day Walk and survived!

Despite the groggy weather (and one or two participants having groggy heads), I allowed myself to be talked into taking part in the annual Tollerton New Year’s Day Walk.

The event was well-attended, very good-humoured and, despite nearly losing a half-welly down by the airfield cottages, it was really good fun. Owing to a management oversight (forgetfulness) I wasn’t able to capture any of the scenes and sights for posterity, but the send-off and welcome-back from the Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes was well appreciated.

The walk raised over £1,400 for Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes, a local charity that does terrific work in our community. If you are a motorcyclist with an interest in joining this professionally-run (but amateur/volunteer) NHS support service, please do drop them a line via their website above.
