It’s a shame to end the year on a sad, sad note but this festive season the village is missing one of its most loved and loveable characters. Many of us will fondly remember Val’s tremendous baking – and her love of sharing her tremendous baking. And her sandwiches. And her copious cups of tea.
Valerie (Val) Lee passed away after her third and final battle with cancer. Her funeral last week was a touching and emotional send-off. All of us who have known her – and she was around for many years – will think fondly of this lovely person.
