Knicked?

I didn’t go to the most recent parish council meeting but the report I got at yesterday’s Cosy was almost entertaining. Flood defence equipment (primarily signs and bollards and sandbags) have been stored in nice new sheds down by the cottages (which seem to flood at least twice a year). I was told that one of the sheds has been stolen. Not the kit that was in it, the thieves left that behind, they took the whole shed. I appreciate the parish council’s dilemma, do they leave the shed(s) unsecured and therefore stealable, or do they secure the sheds so that nefarious people can cause damage to them and, possibly, to the equipment stored inside them? Quite a conundrum.
