I know one of my fellow contributors has already mentioned the proposal to build homes on Russell Farm – and to have the exit/entry to this potential housing estate running directly off/on to Burnside Grove – but the deadline is getting close.
Please get your thoughts on this proposal over to Rushcliffe Borough Council. They need to know the strength of feeling about how ludicrous this proposed housing estate is. They need to understand it won’t work. They need to understand the misery it will bring to everyone who lives in the village. And they need to understand the conflict the inevitable increase of traffic will bring into everyone’s lives in the village – and will also bring into the lives of all the families who move into the new estate.
Write to Debbie Mason (who knows, she might actually write back to you – though that seems unlikely from the stories going around in the parish about her). Lodge your feelings with RBC. Write to the press. Make sure everyone knows how this won’t work. Show them how it won’t work. Send photographs. Send maps. Make it plain how idiotic this proposal is. Please pick this item up and do something about it – you’ve got until 7th January 2026. After that you’ll just not have a voice!
